School Council Minutes, 3/18/10

 Present: Roly Chaput, Alan Feinstein, Nicole Feroleto, Fern LaRocca, Nancy Rhoads, Stephanie Zerchykov

 Absent: Christie Getto Young

1)    Budget: There have been no new reports on the budget from the Superintendent. The AEF is fundraising to help offset the budget deficit. Jennifer Melcher is the contact person.

2)    Structural issues are being assessed as a result of the recent rain.

3)    PTO: Kristen Faiola and Julie Hall were elected presidents. Stephanie provided an update on recent PTO events, as well as those upcoming.

4)    The kindergarten successfully underwent the NAYEC accreditation process.

5)    We compared the Arlington Public Schools Elementary Handbook with a previous Brackett Handbook. It was decided that there are significant, Brackett specific elements missing and that we should go ahead and produce a cross-referenced Brackett Handbook.
